Using Olivia Gatwood’s Life of the Party, write an argument essay discussing one of the topics related to her collection of poems. This will help to build upon the skills you have practiced when composing your Memoir and previous Argument Essay. This argument essay will include elements of the literary analysis which will further help you in composing future academic discourse. In this assignment, we will choose a topic from the four topics listed below. You will write an argument essay using one of these topics and also include one or more of Olivia Gatwood’s poems that we will discuss in class (also listed below). Prompt: Choose one of the topics below and write a three to four page argument to show how this topic is found within Olivia Gatwood’s poetry. You will use a poem or group of poems from Gatwood’s Life of the Party to write your argument. You may also use information from her introduction if you would like. You will include two other outside sources related to your chosen topic. Specific guidelines are below, but your sources must be cited in MLA format.
