Prompt: The church is on the verge of falling into heretical ways. Church leaders and bishops have called together a council to address the heretical views. In doing so they have called the elders from each region to bring forth a defense and an analysis proving the scriptural basis and truths of the various Christian doctrines that constitute the faith.

You are the elder that has been called. Now because of COVID-19 the Council was forced to be postponed – but the church leaders and bishops still want to hear the analyses and scriptural defense that was going to be presented by the elders.

The Doctrine of Man

In a 5-page analysis,

1. You are to explain the doctrine in full detail. Providing various scriptural references, and historical references as well.

2. You are to detail the various teachings and topics covered within those doctrines. And provide the scriptural basis for them.

3. You are to decipher if the doctrine is a major or minor doctrine and provide supporting evidence for your claim.

4. You are to defend its core truth by explaining why it is important to prevent heretical influence from affecting this doctrine.

5. And lastly you are to elaborate on the dangers of falling into heresy.
