Description
Consider how Jesus encountered and interacted with people in his day from your reading in the gospels. On the other hand, consider how James, 1 Peter, 1 John, and the book of Revelation all indicate that Christians should separate themselves from the world (1 John 2:15). We need to live in this world and interact with people, but often we have a tendency to lose track of God’s kingdom and the pursuit of God’s will in our lives when we become too immersed in “the world.” Consider what your world view may be (see video this week on “What is a Biblical Worldview”) and what you us as a basis for making life decisions and in interacting through relationships. How do we find and maintain balance of these two dynamics in our life – spending time on Godly pursuits vs spending time in the secular world? What is your basis for finding this balance? What challenges do you face in this regard? What changes might you consider making after completing this overview of the New Testament (don’t worry about sources)
