Write a short reflection in response to the feedback you receive from your editing partner for your film analysis essay draft and how you used that feedback to write the final draft of your paper. This is meant to help improve your essay by considering your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. You may want to consider the following questions: – Was my essay formatted in MLA style? If not, what needed to be fixed? – Can my writing be improved by focusing on grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation? What specific technical problems are you finding in your writing? – Is my essay organized in the best way possible? If not, what can I do to change the order of ideas? – Is my thesis clear, specific, and well-developed? Is my thesis statement an opinion (an agree/disagree statement) that needs to be justified with examples and explanation, or is it simply a fact about the topic? – Did I include specific evidence to back up my thesis statement, including direct quotations? – What changes did I need to make to improve my overall essay? – What should I do differently when I start working on my next essay?
