Construct an annotated bibliography including all of the sources you are planning to use in your research essay. The annotations must be in your own words and not something directly copied from the sources in order to avoid plagiarism.

Basically, you must first create an APA References page. After you have included all of your sources that you will be citing in your essay and made sure that the format is correct for each citation, you will need to include a short paragraph explanation after each source citation. This paragraph should include three points:

The first sentence should state what the author’s main point is in the source or the section of the source that you are using
The next 2-3 sentences should include further important information from the source.
The last 3-4 sentences should explain how you plan to use the source and particular bits of information from it in your essay.
The paragraphs for the annotated bibliography should be no shorter than 4 sentences. They should be no longer than 8 sentences.

1. Decide on one debatable topic that includes at least two different sides so that you can research all sides in order to find a compromise for all at the end of your project.

Remember that a question will help you formulate your thesis. Your thesis statement will be the answer and then you will prove the thesis statement to be true with your thoughts and with the support of your sources. Be sure that your thesis statement considers ALL sides of this debatable topic. In other words, don’t write a pro-con position thesis statement, since that’s only ONE side of this debate (and only one side of your entire project).
Your thesis statement should clearly present the main idea of your essay and make some kind of assertion (even if that assertion is about bringing two sides together).
