Theory Analysis and Application

Description

The theory analysis and application project has two components, a paper, and an assessment tool. You must defend the substance and format of an assessment tool in a 6-8 page scholarly paper that demonstrates a working knowledge and appropriate application of a family theory of your choice. The tool must be relevant, reliable, and practical. A full description of the theory, strengths and weakness, and concept analysis will be based on primary sources from the literature. Your literature search can include nursing, psychology, and sociology, and relate disciplines.  Specifically, you must show through a substantive analysis your understanding of any theory including the concepts of your choice  studied in this course. You should use empirical sources to support your interpretation. There is no specific number of references to be included but the quality and purposeful use of supportive literature will be evaluated per the rubric. *You will demonstrate application of the theory by crafting a family assessment tool that reflects the conceptual framework. The assessment will be submitted with your paper as an Appendix.* Your paper must conform to standards of the APA Style Guide 7th edition.  ***THE THEORY I HAVE SELECTED IS FAMILY SYSTEM THEORY.
