Labor power is a commodity because it can be sold by a person with the ability to perform labor, by another person (or institution) that want to employ this labor power to produce a commodity. 3. Use value is the value of commodities derived from its ability to satiate a need (whether that need arises from biological need or a socially determined need) 4. Exchange value is the value of commodities derived from their value relative to other commodities 5.Commodities are things that are produced for the purpose of exchange for something else (whether that something else may be material or for social purposes). Commodities inherently have both use value and exchange value
