Pre-Civil War American History For your assignment I have culled a selection of digital archives. Once you have selected a digital archive spend some time with the collection. Find two or three primary sources from before 1861 that grab your attention and answer the follow questions in an essay format. Essay Structure- Introduction- The Archive: Describe the archive, who created it? What type of material does it hold? Many archives often specialize in a particular era, people, or portion of the past. Give me some details. Body paragraphs- ​Documents: ​Name your documents: who created them? Are they famous, infamous, a common person? Give a brief background on who created the document. Describe the documents: what do they say? Analysis of the document: based on what you have learned so far in class what does the document tell you about that particular moment?
