Disscusion

Description

I want us to have some fun with Freud’s defense mechanisms!  Please read up on the following defense mechanisms For your posting I want you to pick THREE of the defense mechanisms and locate either a cartoon, clip of a show (like a cartoon, Friends, office space, etc.) from YouTube, a famous quote, a passage of a character in a book or magazine (that you can take a picture of and paste), commercial, etc. (any media related clip) that is an example of that defense mechanism.  Then, in your posting  you will: Include the piece of media (copy and paste the cartoon, link to or embed the media clip, insert a picture of the book, magazine, etc.) for each of the three defense mechanisms.  You are only to locate and in a single posting, post all three examples for this part of the assignment.  Label them Example 1; Example 2; Example 3 Try to remove any information that would indicate which of the defense mechanisms the example is of – see example below.  Part B:  for each of the media clips you need to: State the defense mechanism you are guessing for each media example and describe it in your own words  Discuss why you think that media clip is an example of the defense mechanism  Example: Example 1: Denial  I think it is denial because the person in the cartoon is using a leaf blower to get ride of all of the information and evidence and pretend like it doesn’t exist
