You will write a paper (7-pages) based upon your cultural genogram and experience presenting it to your peers. Please organize/format it according to the following sections: An Introduction to your 3-generation family and a comparative analysis and description of how the three generations differ in (3-pages): (i) their communication and conflict styles  (ii) their parenting styles, and  (iii) the levels of cohesion and flexibility (as aspects of family boundaries).  A description of three aspects of your family functioning that could be improved to increase the level of functioning with specific strategies for change (2 pages) A summary of how understanding your own family cultural and identify helps you better understand other families and their cultures. Be sure to include: (2 pages) (i) a discussion on the influence that culture has on family systems and structure and process.  (ii) use examples from the peer genogram presentations to illustrate how your unique cultural identities influence the way that you see other people (and their families) that are different.  (iii) discuss specific ways that your peers’ family is different from yours, and still “makes sense.”  This paper should demonstrates to the instructor that you have gained a high level of knowledge and should show a high level of personal insight.
