Application Journal Chapter 8-2 For this journal assignment, please select three jobs that are likely to be relevant to the type of organization you have been writing about in your journals for the semester. Include your own (imagined) job in the organization as one of the three jobs that you select. A. Please use the resources that have been suggested in the chapter (page 219) as well as any other sources that you might have access to in order to gather some information that will help you to understand the compensation packages that are typical for people who work in these three types of jobs. This would include salary or wages, as well as any type of bonus or other forms of compensation (company car, golf club membership, etc.). You can provide the data that you collect as “raw data” in whatever format that you choose, such as a bullet list or a table of information, just as long as the data is presented in a way that is very clear and easy to interpret. Make sure to write down the sources that you used to get the information (even if it is an informal source, such as a current employee). B. After you provide the data, please offer your analysis. Specifically, please select 5 concepts from the chapter to help you analyze some element of what you found by collecting and organizing this data. Your insights can be descriptive in nature ( something like “this is something that I noticed, that is a good example of xxx that I read in the chapter”) or they can be reflective (something like “I was surprised to learn xxx, and I now understand the xxx concept from the chapter a bit more based on this analysis”). Please number your insights so that it is easy for me to separate each one of these from the others.
