Visit https://www.oyez.org/issues Use the blue buttons on the sidebar to choose an issue that interests you. 3. Choose a case and read the facts of the case and the opinions (found on the left). You may have to look through a few cases before you find one with enough information. 4. Use the case name for your subject line: ex. Miranda v Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966) 5. Answer the following questions: Summarize the case in 3-4 sentences. What are the facts of this case? What was the lower court’s decision? When was the case argued? Who delivered the opinion of the court? Who joined the court opinion? What was the opinion? Was there a concurring opinion in your case? If so, who wrote it and who joined it? What is a dissent? Who filed the dissent (if any)? Who joined the dissent? On what grounds did the dissenting opinion object to the decision of the court? Be sure to read and comment on at least 2 of your classmates’ cases with thoughtful comparisons, questions, or comments.
