Your writing response should be 2-3 pages long and answer the following prompts: Understanding Select a specific passage from one of the student letters in the reading and answer this prompt: How did this student advocate for his/her/their identity in this letter to his/her/their teacher? Reflection What was your personal reaction to this reading? This can be a critique of the arguments, a deconstruction of it, a new idea that you are excited about, but it must include a connection with one or more of the theoretical approaches we are discussing in class and demonstrate you have a solid understanding of that approach in application.
