World War II: D-Day

Description

I have to rewrite a paper that was just completed on this site 3 days ago. “On 16 October 2020 your 520A Operational Art and Design Essay was due. When your assignment was assessed, you failed to meet the academic standards outlined in the Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP), dated July 2020.  You obtained a score a 56.00 points, that falls below the minimum of 70 points required (ISAP p. 13). This grade effectively decreased your overall grade average to  a 77.9% that equates to a 3.11 overall GPA.   The outline was followed but the giving real work examples was not added nor was JP  5-0 used. The paper can not be a history paper it has to discuss Operation D-Day and how that applies to JP 5-0 Joint planning.  Please read JP 5-0 and then that is how the ways, the end, the means and risk are done.  Per the Outline  each topic has questions and those questions are to be answered per that specific war.  I have attached the paper that was written so you can take way what does not apply and add the information for D-Day. The headers and resources are good, but the Joint Planning on D-Day is a requirement with the specifics Title Include an introduction section (1-2 paragraphs) headed with the title of the paper (NOT “Introduction”) and place your thesis statement as the last sentence in this section. A thesis statement: tells the reader how you will interpret the significance of the subject matter under discussion. is a road map for the paper; in other words, it tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper. directly answers the question asked of you.  A thesis is an interpretation of a question or subject, not the subject itself.  makes a claim that others might dispute. is usually a single sentence near the beginning of your paper (most often, at the end of the first paragraph) that presents your argument to the reader.  The rest of the paper, the body of the essay, gathers and organizes evidence that will persuade the reader of the logic of your interpretation. Background                 Give a brief historical background of the battle.   The Ends Introduce you main idea of ends Identify Problem Identify the COG Determine termination criteria or end state The Ways Introduce you main idea of ways Identify Joint Lines of Operation Identify Joint Lines of Effort   The Means Introduce you main idea of means Identify mechanism (Joint Units Involved) Approach The Risks Introduce you main idea of risks Identify Operational Reach Potential Culmination points of the operation Conclusion This section is identified using the word “Conclusion” as a level one heading. Include the restated thesis in this section (some writing professionals recommend beginning the conclusion with your restated thesis, then summarizing your support – but you may place it anywhere within the conclusion). Reinforce the thesis by summarizing major points of your essay and illustrating how the evidence supports your position. Should be well structured and fully justified by the evidence and reasoning. Do not introduce new ideas or opinions in the conclusion. This paper discussed I good way to set up your paragraph is by using the acronym IDEAS.  This will also help you on the majority of the word count being on operational art and design key terms and concepts. I.  Identify: States the main idea-general statement D.  Define: define the term *****you must write your paper as if the reader has no military knowledge by defining the key terms (LOO,LOE,COG,etc) COG PG 24 LOO PG 29 LOE PG 30   E.  Evidence/Example: give an example of the term from the Battle/Operation A.  Analyze/Apply: evidence’s language and relate it to the paragraph’s main idea S.  Summary: summarize and transition into the next paragraph
