W12_PA: Building a Scene | Essay Market

DescriptionLast week we focused on modeling one singular object to learn more about how to put it together piece by piece. This week we will expand our scope outward and you will be building a scene! The scene is a space that your objects or characters will inhabit. It can be a fantasy scene like the example or it can be more realistic. This is up to you!
SpecsThere are no hard specs for this assignment as we will not be animating anything just yet.
Design RequirementsYou must use the following concepts
Building Heirarchies into your tag structure using Null Objects to organize everything
Materials for all the objects in the scene
Sky Object and Floor or Landscape Object
Multiple sources of light includingSunlight
Other options within the lighting panel

InstructionsBuild a scene using the concepts we’ve gone over the last two classes
It can be either fantasy inspired or a real place! It’s up to you.It should be a slightly complex scene! Challenge yourself with the software.
If it’s a city, it should look like there’s plenty of buildings
If it’s out in nature, there should be trees and grass and mountains
If it’s a fantasy landscape, it should still be populated by other things!

There should be no black background to your image, use the sky object and the floor object to create the initial background for you to build your scene further
Make sure to have sources of lighting throughout the scene I believe Cinema4D has a “Sunlight” tag that you can add to create omnipresent light but be sure to use other sources of light too!

Afterwards, move your viewfinder to the angle you want to render it from and render it out from Cinema4D with the settings you want!
