Give your ideas why African Americans, collectively, continue to face issues specifically related to their identity in contemporary USA

Description Assignment Highlights: (1) The end of the civil war brought to the nation various efforts by individuals, organizations, and the government to give the freed slaves opportunities to become productive members of the country. From the beginning of the Reconstruction well into the 20th century, the nation continued to address issues of slavery, freedom, the reconstruction, and other new problems specific to African Americans. Most of these issues continue to plague African Americans today. (2) One avenue that became necessary for the African American community to solve the problems of the 20thcentury was leadership by African Americans. In their own ways, these leaders wanted what was best for the nation at that time. One of those leaders was W.E.B. Du Bois. Assignments: (i)Explain and analyze the specific obstacles the Reconstruction period faced in assisting black people to move from slavery to freedom. Your analysis must then give specific reasons why the Reconstruction ended. From this analysis, show (explain) that leadership by African Americans became necessary when the Reconstruction period ended. (ii)From what you now know about •the true nature of Chattel Slavery in America; •the solutions proposed to solve the problems and issues of African Americans after the Civil war; and •the true nature of problems and issues that continue to plague African Americans today. How would you argue that: Even with the solutions proposed by W.E.B. Du Bois and other leaders of that time, the issues of slavery and race continue to complicate African American identity and justice in the USA today because key ideologies developed during slavery and the Reconstruction period have not been resolved. Your analysis must mention the solutions that were proposed by African American leaders during those periods. Consider these issues as you analyze the solutions: (1) how the system of slavery had shaped both the races; (2) the economic structure of the nation during and after the Civil War; (3) issues, problems, and complications generated during the Reconstruction Period and (4) the practicability of the proposed solutions. In this way, you may conclude that key ideologies developed during slavery have not been resolved. You may also give differing reasons and views as to why African Americans, collectively, continue to face issues specifically related to their identity in contemporary USA. Either way, you must demonstrate your knowledge of the issues and problems that continue to face African Americans since slavery. Your responses must also demonstrate your knowledge of the solutions proposed by the leaders of the 20th century to end the problems and issues facing African American at that time. Specific examples and quotes especially from the resources used in this class must be used in your essay. Include page numbers in your citations -even for online resources.
