Article Analysis Section – For this section use the three primary sources selected for the previous sources assignment and conduct a deeper analysis / examination in separate subsections (use article title to designate subsections) by answering the following questions that are related to the format and type of article that you have: (a) For articles that are empirical studies and have the sections of introduction, method, results and discussion then examine each section separately and try to address the following questions in separate paragraphs: (i) Introduction- What was the hypothesis or research question being addressed? What was the background or previous research to the study that let to the present research question? (ii)Method – Where did the study take place? Who were the subjects? What was the general procedure, how did they measure things, how did they do the study? (iii)Results – How did they analyze the data? What type of statistics were used? Was there any mention of statistical significance? (iiii)Discussion- What were the major findings and conclusions? Was the hypothesis supported, how was the research question concluded? What problems and challenges were mentioned. (b) For articles that do not have these sections first try to identify the type of article (review, research note, theory summary, case study, etc.) and then try to address the following questions for each article in separate paragraphs. (i) What was the background or previous research that led to the article and what type of article is it? (ii). What was the purpose or main goals of the article? (iii). What was the format / procedure / process used in the article (how did they do it) to achieve the purpose / goals. (iiii) What were the main findings / results? What were the main conclusions / recommendations? Did they achieve their purpose or goal? (iiiii) Why did you choose this article instead of an empirical one that had the previously mentioned sections such as intro, meth, results, and discussion? B. Conclusion Using a citation format summarize and link key article findings and conclusions from the three different sources. (i) Summarize and link by paraphrasing and using citations the most important findings and results from each article. (ii) According to your sources (provide appropriate citations) what might future research on your topic examine, what would possible next steps be in the continuing ongoing future examination of the topic according to your sources. C. Reference section: Three entries representing your three sources, alphabetical in sequence for entries by last name, in the following format: authors name; year; title of article; name of journal. authors name; year; title of article; name of journal.
