You should include at least one direct quote as evidence, and you may use personal examples as well to support the impact of the discussed idea or concept. First-person and second-person singular/plural pronouns (e.g. I, me, my, you, your, our, we, us) may be used for this essay (and only this essay!) without point deductions.
