Your assignment must illustrate knowledge of the concepts through an original personal and/or professional integration of the text material. All assignments MUST be typed, double-spaced, in APA style, and must be written at university level English.  You must integrate the material presented in the text. In addition to the text, you may use current (5 years or less), evidence based research. Outside research should support and compliment the text, and not be used instead of the text.   Your responses to each question must reflect your own understanding of the text material in direct and specific context to the question. Cite your work according to APA format. Legal and ethical issues must be addressed when relevant.  Please use all chapters in the text to add depth to your responses. The entire assignment should be 7 pages total plus a title and reference page. How would you go about working with a Native American woman who appears to be experiencing physical and/or sexual abuse, but is reluctant to discuss her experiences with you? What might be pertinent cultural considerations in your work with this client?   During a family session with an Asian American family, you note that the children, who were born in this country, highly value individuality and independence, while the parents expect obedience and sacrifice for the family. How would you address this situation?   Describe the traditional Latinx family structure and the associated cultural values. What implications do they have for client resilience, client stress, and for culturally competent counseling practice? How can these strengths be capitalized on and incorporated into counseling? However, one member of the couple, your client—a 35-year-old lawyer from a prestigious law firm—is not “out” to her family or colleagues. Her partner desperately wants a child but your client fears that having a child will “out” her sexual orientation to her parents and colleagues.  How would you proceed in counseling this client?
