Description

In this article, Nochlin addresses the question “Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?” She does this not by pointing to overlooked women artists or by pointing to a feminine style of painting that is underappreciated, both of which historians have done in the past. For your last reading response paper, describe the systems of beliefs and practices to which she points instead. Some of Nochlin’s examples are later and some of her discussions concern later practices, but her analysis is nevertheless relevant on the whole to our week on Renaissance and Baroque Europe. please don’t add any picture or title, name, professor, nothing like that  just make sure you use this article to write a reading response
