Ethnic Literature Analysis Paper

Description

You will be analyzing and comparing these two books; Woman Hollering Creek and The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian. This assignment will require you to choose from one of the three following paper descriptions: ·      Choose between the two novels we’ve read so far and write an analysis concentrating on one element such as symbol, tone, point of view or theme, quoting when necessary to support your argument.   ·      Compare and contrast the two novels’ protagonists we’ve read and an important personality trait they have in common. This means you will be discussing character in your paper.   ·      Compare the theme of “otherness” in both novels and the stance each novel takes on this theme. If you are not clear on the terms used in literature review them by looking up symbol, theme, tone, point of view and character before you start to write your paper. Your paper will have a thesis statement since it is an argument paper. If you are not clear on how to write an argument paper, make sure you go to the writing center. I will also provide examples of a literature-based analysis paper.
