For this week’s discussion assignment you will complete a case study on a fictional character or a person from pop culture medium (TV, movies, music, comics, etc.). Follow the model below: Introduction: Introduce the patient by providing basic demographic information (age, gender, ethnicity, etc). and a summary of his/her dominant personality traits. Presenting Problem: Why is the patient seeking treatment? What are the presenting symptoms or concerns? History: Include relevant medical and family history. Feel free to get creative if you are unsure of the person’s history. Assessment: How did you gather additional information on the patient? Did you complete tests? Interviews? etc. Diagnosis: What’s the diagnosis? Be sure to use a DSM-5 (Links to an external site.) for diagnosis. How did you determine this diagnosis? Treatment: What type of treatment do you think would be most effective for this patient and why?
