Description
• You are free to engage with any ideas generated from the readings, but the responses need to show a clear understanding of the assigned materials and analysis rather than a mere summarization. Please identify the authors’ arguments. Analyze the evidence and methodologies the authors employ to convey their point. If you find some interesting aspects from the readings, write them with why you think so. Speculate on the kinds of critiques and objections can be raised. In an ideal reading response, students should show your understanding of the different readings assigned for each week. Compare and contrast the readings. Think about how one article can supplement or counter the other article. You can also bring in texts from other classes. You are also encouraged to raise questions that can be discussed in class.
