Analyze the novel 1984 using one of the critical lenses discussed in class. Here are a few examples of topics you could write about: 1. Discuss the psychological repercussions of “Big Brother is Watching.” 2. Discuss the socio-economic situation of Winston Smith. 3. Discuss the historical context of 1984 and how it played a role in the plot and setting. Whichever critical perspective chosen, you must be sure that the essay has a centralized thesis. The essay should incorporate at least three secondary sources that should be quoted (with in-text citation) at least once each. The novel should be quoted (with in-text citation) at least three times. The completed essay must be at least 1,200 words in MLA formatting.
