Description
You can have ONLY the words (the illustrations can be submitted but do not have to be until the final draft) The first assignment is to select a topic that you will be using to write a children’s book which will teach tolerance. You need to come up with at least 10 pages and it must address a societal issue that impacts children. Some topics could include anything that makes someone feel like “the other”– for example, a children who is different because of an allergy, a family unit, a disability, etc. Use this as an opportunity to learn more about the issue (since you will be required to list at least 5 resources for parents at the end of the book. Be creative.
