Please ensure your essay has 1) an introduction with a clear thesis 2) body paragraphs with topic sentences that are supported by information from the course materials and lectures and 3) a conclusion. Consider the purpose of the form as related to a) research design b) operationalization and c) research ethics as discussed in Canada’s Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS). Use examples from class and other famous research studies with which you are familiar. What is meant by the blanket term “critical social research”? Discuss with reference to a) specific research methodologies and methods b) the major goals of critical social research and c) examples of critical social research from the text, lectures, or academic articles you have read. OR 3. Choose either the Milgram experiment OR the Stanford Prison experiment. Why was this experiment conducted? Consider what knowledge about the social world the researchers were trying to gain by explaining the a) ontology b) epistemology c) methodology (approach) d) and methods used in the research.
