I have attached the training proposal outline with the resources needed. Beneath is the instructions and outline of what is required in the paper. If any additional information is needed please let me know.  As an officer for the Bryant County Police Department (BCPD), you have been tasked by your superviser to create a training proposal for new officers on the need for additional training post-academy. The proposal will suggest that officers should have a mandatory number of hours of training in two areas you feel will assist them in doing the job more effectively, safely, and ethically. The focus of one area will be placed on cultural diversity. Your other area of training will be your choice, based on a need you feel the BCPD has (such as defense tactics or dealing with individuals with mental health issues). As a result of the recent shootings involving unarmed suspects, it is imperative additional training be mandatory. Studies have demonstrated the more training an officer has, the faster they are can jump to important elements of a situation and read them more accurately. The highly trained officer knows what to look for amid a situation that may seem chaotic to lesser-trained ones. Good training also produces better emotional control. The highly trained officer tends to make better decisions because he can focus on what he needs to do rather than on reacting impulsively and emotionally. 1.      Title Page: a.      Include proposal topic, student name, course, instructor and date. 2.      Introduction: a.      Include background of the topic. 3.      Body of Paper: a.      In this section, you will analyze and discuss your request. b.      Detail how ethics will be addressed in each of the training areas. c.       Explain how you would measure the effectiveness of the mandatory training you created. d.     How have other police departments succesfully implemented cultural sensitivity training? Evaluate the success of these implementations. 4.      Conclusion: a.      Explain how you feel additional training, once implemented, could be effective in the interaction between officers and the multicultural community.
