Going back to the objectives for the chapter, please reflect on these in your blog: · Describe the general nature of human motivation and the effects it can have on cognition and behavior. · Describe and illustrate various basic needs that all human beings appear to have. · Give several examples of individual differences in human needs and dispositions. · Explain how feelings and emotions are often intertwined with motivation, cognition, learning, and performance. · Identify numerous ways in which teachers can engender motivated learning and productive affect in instructional settings. Consider the following questions in your reflection: · Which of these outcomes do you feel most comfortable with? · Which do you have additional questions about? · How do these concepts impact your own learning? · When do you achieve flow? All of these are important things to reflect on, and your blog is a great place to think about these things and to consider the ways each impacts your views on teaching and learning. 2. In your blog, write a quick reflection on how YOU remember things. · What helps you to remember important information? · What strategies do you use? Review this short section of the Ormrod Human Learning Text regarding effective strategies related to memory that can be used in the classroom. 8th Edition, “Promoting Effective Long-Term Memory Storage and Retrieval Processes” on pages 229-239 (See attached files) · Write down a question or two that you are curious about.
