2/24/21            R         Class 10          DISNEY CASE – APPLY ALL PRIOR LEARNING – FOCUS ON CORPORATE LEVEL STRATEGY   What industry or industry did Disney Compete in each era of its history? Analyze in detail Disney’s business model in each era: At inception – Steamboat Willy Era; Disney Land era; Disney Block Buster Era; Acquisitions, Mergers, Collaborative Agreement era; Industry Convergence era. Perform Industry Analysis for Disney’s current industry. Use the Corporate Level Strategy paradigm to analyze each acquisition/collaborative agreement described in the case.  Be sure to consider and explain the underlying reasons for the Corporate Level Strategy motivating each move. Describe any mergers, equity alliances, or joint ventures set forth in the case and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each. Read the Ch. 6 Excerpt on Economies of Scale etc. (posted to this site)     Be prepared to continue with the analysis and conversation of the Disney Case.
