This is an Argumentative Essay or Persuasive Essay ! My argument is against people that use the Keto Diet for weight loss. The thesis i’ve created so far is :  “A Keto Diet is the most effective weight loss tool, so use it” is a quote that a lot of people truly believe and stand by. Nowadays diets are promoted on television, social media, books, etc. Most of these diets claim to help you achieve weight loss. While a lot of diets can help you in the right direction towards weight loss, they can’t guarantee you 100% results. Most people nowadays are following what’s called a Ketogenic Diet. A ketogenic diet is basically a diet that’s high in fat, moderate in protein and low in carbohydrates, said to help you lose tremendous amounts of weight by changing the way your body fuels itself. Those that follow the ketogenic diet will more than likely always find themselves dropping loads of excess weight and fat. What they won’t tell you are the negatives and harmful things that can truly happen to you and your body when you partake in this diet. While the Keto Diet consists of foods that may reduce hunger stimulating hormones and promote weight loss, this diet could cause low blood pressure, kidney stones, constipation, nutrient deficiencies and an increased risk of heart disease. Most people will regain a lot of the weight they lost as soon as they go back to eating carbohydrates. For the people that have diabetes, Ketosis can trigger a dangerous condition called Ketoacidosis along with a huge loss of muscle mass. So although people do lose weight on Keto diets, they are honestly harmful and ineffective, the best way for anyone to lose weight is to exercise for at least one hour at least three to four times a week, track your macronutrients, and perform cardio at least one to two times a week as well.
