General Instructions: Read the instructions carefully. Take the quiet time to reflect on “Evaluating Yourself” in this particular class, IT390 – Internship Seminar I. A self-evaluation is a great way to assess how you approached the course with an eye to improving yourself in the future. It can also help identify the particular knowledge and skills you have learned in this course – in effect, you remind yourself of the knowledge and skills you have acquired and may be more likely to put them to use in the future. You can approach this by comparing where you were when you first started the Internship course at the start of the semester and where you are now as we end in two (2) weeks’ time. 1. Make sure you refer to the Online Content/ Topics covered during the semester. Some of the topics included are: Professional Workplace Expectations, Soft Skills, Working in Teams /Collaboration, Technology Dream Job, The Art of Interviewing, The Art of Negotiation, Ethical Decision-Making, Professional Skills and Job e-Portfolio. 2. Look back at the 2nd document under Content Folder: Success is in your hands! 3. Then you will also rate/evaluate yourself on the knowledge base and skills you have learned in the Alternative Internships #1, 2, 3 and 4 in terms of Technical skills, Problem-solving skills/Higher order thinking skills, Business/leadership skills and Soft Skills; or what we call Employability Skills. 4.
