The purpose of this assignment is to experience first-hand a local religious tradition and assess two themes:                               how is this tradition adapting to the conditions and dynamics of (late) modernity (such as diversity, pluralism, secularism, and so on)?   what aspects of globalization are evident in the tradition’s religious ideas, community, organization? As you know, these two themes have been central    1. Basically, your research and paper will take the following form:   a general introduction to the religion and organization you’re studying (1 page),!!!! (NO OUTSIDE SOURCE FOR THE FIRST PAGE) a description of what you experienced during your visit (2-3 pages), and finally an analysis of the two themes mentioned above (2-3 pages). Make SURE THE SOURCES ARE CHOSEN THE WAY THEY ARE Your paper will have at least six outside sources. Two will be books, two are from academic journals, and two are from book reviews, newspaper or magazine articles (these may be accessed through ProQuest or InfoTrac). You are allowed two articles from the Internet, please use your good judgement as to whether or not the Internet source has credibility.
