These paragraphs must have a topic sentence and a concluding sentence Nextly these two concluding paragrphs Conclusion, part 1 (the “sum up” paragraph) Purpose To remind your readers of your argument and supporting evidence. This is the kind of conclusion you were likely taught to write in High School à it restates your paper’s overall claim and supporting evidence. Conclusion, part 2 (the “so what” paragraph) Purpose To illustrate to your reader that you have thought critically and analytically about the issue.
