Mental Health Disorders Extra Credit (1 page) – 2 academic sources (2017-now) Select one of the mental health disorders discussed in the book and write a 1-2 page discussion paper including the basic components of the DSM diagnose, the treatment options, and your thoughts on how the disorder is viewed in modern society, including your own views or experiences.  MUST USE YOUR OWN WORDS.  Do no plagiarize. If you use citations, cite them! Paper should be APA format and utilize a reference page (1 page)  Movie Time! Instructions: Watch a movie which features a psychological disorder. Write a minimum 1 page well-defined paper on the disorder and how the character portrayed this disorder in the movie. You must answer the following questions in your paper: What was the name of the movie? What was the name of the character? What psychological disorder did he/she have? Did he or she show the typical symptoms of the disorder? Did the character ever “fix” the problem? What would you suggest the character should do to help solve his or her psychological problem? Finally, which therapy approach (cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic, humanistic, etc.) would you use to help the person with the problem and why? Attach the paper using as a Word document below. Paper Requirements:  Must be in APA format Include a Title Page and a Reference Page This means your total paper should be a minimum of 3 pages. The paper must be about a movie that features a character with a diagnosed psychological disorder. You may not choose a television series. You should not be diagnosing the character yourself. The diagnosis must be explicitly stated in the movie.
