This research paper will explore the subsequent media coverage of the LGBT Mariel boat lifters in miami and larger south Florida. How were they received? Did Cuba’s media influence how American perceived them? In what ways did they influence the culture in America, more specifically Miami. These are the questions I’m hoping to answer in the final draft of this research paper.  I’ve attached my proposal to this to give you a general idea of where I want to take this paper.
