Description

Many stories have the potential to achieve mythic status. Aside from the test of time, whether or not a piece of literature — be it film, theater, television, prose, legend, or graphic novel — achieves mythological status is determined by if it conveys or reinforces “important cultural values.” In this assignment, you will discuss how you believe one of the characters and related stories from the provided list contains mythic qualities.  This is to be accomplished one of two ways. A. How does the character and tale provide one of the insights as defined on page 14 of the Introduction to Mythology textbook: Historical, Anthropological, Metaphysical, Cosmological, Aetiological, Sociological, Psychological B.
