PROPOSALS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING SLIDES: Title Title of the piece and your name Projects idea/ statement The idea needs to be very clear. That may be done with a few sentences or multiple slide is need be. Just make sure the idea is clearly described. Inspiration Which artist from the list above inspired you? how did they inspire you? What elements if any did you choose to use in your idea that direct back to that artists work? Inspirations can and should also include other sources for your idea (nature, musical artist, locations, pop culture, politics, and/or personal situations) Sketch layout/ or model The drawing should illustrate the idea fully. You can collage the image or draw it, or both whichever helps you illustrate the idea best. If you would rather make a small model of the idea, feel free. Again, just make sure the idea is fully illustrated.  Materials needed Once you have an idea, then you can start to fledge out how to make it. If your idea requires to be outside then think about outdoor materials that can withstand weather changes. If the scale is large then think about making  a metal structure to hold the piece. Imagine you are the artist and the architect. If the idea is inside a museum or an interior space then that opens up what materials you can use.  Locations Where would this piece be located. Show images of the location General budge This budget can be as conservative or extravagant as you would like. If your idea is larger and requires engineering then you can imagine the budget would be quite large. If the idea is smaller in scale, then alter the budget accordingly.  Try to coordinate the budget with the materials and labor needed to make the piece happen. I’m not going to check the exact cost of steal at the moment but you should have a rough estimate on what it might cost based on your research.  Expected Reactions What do you want people to get from this piece? What are your expectations?  Is the idea based on making people smile? think? reflect? play?
