Next, consider the following: “The Persuaders” makes clear that marketing and advertising have an impact on society beyond its ability to convince consumers to buy a particular product or not. Consider the responsibilities of an advertiser in a democratic society and then develop a code of ethics for sponsors and creators of advertising. To get started, you may want to look at some examples of advertising ethics policies, like the Vatican’s statement on advertising (Links to an external site.).  What companies do a good job of ethical advertising and marketing?  Who does a poor job?  Explain why you believe this and cite examples.   Write the amount of words and sentences necessary to fully answer the questions. Write responses in your own words. Do not copy and paste; do not copy responses directly from any source without proper citation.   This is the criteria in which answers will be judged: Accuracy The answers are complete, correct, and relate to the film.  Responses are organized and answers are numbered to correspond to each question.   Writing Responses use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.  Responses are original and written in student’s own words.   Critical Thinking Answers demonstrate analytical and critical thinking and understanding of concepts.
