Description
The research paper (10 pages excluding the bibliography/works cited page) will be an in-depth work focusing on a specific aspect of Africana Studies. The paper will be typed (double spaced, standard margins) and will use no less than six book and/or academic journal articles, excluding the class texts. The paper must also be footnoted/end-noted or have in-body citations, plus have a bibliography or reference page. The purpose of the paper is to research a topic or issue surrounding the area of Africana Studies. Therefore, biographies will not be accepted, nor will papers based primarily on personal opinions. Papers not following one of the two formats, the Chicago style or the MLA style, will be rejected. A preliminary one-page abstract of the paper with an annotated list of resources is required.
