Our assigned textbook for this class is   Coon, D., Mitterer, J., and Martini, T. (2020). Introduction to Psychology: Gateways to Mind & Behavior (15th ed.), Boston, MA: Cengage I’d like a current event research paper on Chapter 11: Sex, Gender, and sexuality from this book. In this assignment, you will analyze one current event through key psychological concepts from Chapters 1-16. To complete this assignment, you will: Find any event or topic related to Chapters 1-16 and important issues in our world today, research the topic, and write a 500+ word analysis describing its psychological influences. Also discuss and analyze how these influences are connected to society past and present and how these influences are connected to our classwork. Please include a link to the current event you select (or attach a copy). Since this is a current events assignment, you are to choose any event that is no more than 6 months old from the date the assignment is due. You may only use events from the last 6 months (i.e., some example concepts may include: nature vs. nurture, conditioning and learning, gender roles, perception, psycho-social influence, psychological applications, etc.) Provide an analysis of your event via interpretations and findings. The following questions are a few examples of what to address: What psychological words or phrases appear repeatedly in the current event article? Describe these concepts.   What problem(s) or issue(s) is being discussed or analyzed? How does it relate to the one of the psychological concepts from chapters 1-16? What does the current research say about the topic?  What does the historical research say about the topic?   The 500+ word analysis must include APA formatting: title page, 500+ word analysis, reference page.
