Analyze if the United States Supreme Court can settle legal and moral issues through judiciary review. In your response, provide a documented example of a modern parallel of a legal or moral issue settled by the United States Supreme Court. The task here is, as before, to choose events and examine how and why each one propelled the American Civil War in 1861. This means you must do more than just offer a basic definition of these events. A description of events and their effects, an analysis of these effects in the context of the times–remembering always that the goal here is to draw a straight line between each of your three chosen events and the Civil War–and some comparison with other events is probably necessary too.
