Research Paper “Babylon Revisited”

Description

The research paper for this class will be on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s short story “Babylon Revisited.” The final draft should be a minimum of 5 pages (1250 words). Longer is fine and encouraged. The rough draft should be around 4 pages (1000 words) in length.   This paper will be a literary analysis in which you discuss whether you think the protagonist, Charlie Wales, has truly reformed and whether you think he will eventually get his daughter, Honoria, back in his legal custody. In answering this question, you will, I think, also be answering the question, “What is the theme of ‘Babylon Revisited’?” To help prove your opinion, you must use at least two of the three research articles I gave you by quoting and/or paraphrasing them, and your quotes and paraphrases must be cited correctly using MLA format. Also, please try to incorporate the literary terminology that we have discussed for these past seven weeks (“symbol,” “imagery,” “historical context,” etc.).
