Integrate materials from a small number of empirical studies into a brief written paper that demonstrates the cohesion of the articles.  The ability to integrate and synthesize relevant details of different empirical articles into your own words is an essential skill to successful scholarly writing.  Choose three or four articles about your topic of interest that cover similar aspects of your stated problem. Pull out information from each study that seems critical and synthesize it into an integrated piece of writing. Do this by comparing and contrasting findings, keeping in mind ways that methods or other literature may give context to these findings. Do not simply state or list the contents of the articles; you must offer thoughtful critique which places the contents of article into a larger grouping of literature. The final product will likely be about three paragraphs. Please include an APA style title page, and use this assignment as an opportunity to practice proper APA citation practices.  It is intended to help you begin working with the concept and skill of integrating material from a variety of papers; a skill you will develop as you work on your literature reviews.
