Prejudice of sexism

You will research a common prejudiced belief in our culture and where this belief is coming from, what purpose does it serve and what are the steps we can take to reduce it. 1. First you will present the common  prejudiced belief whether about culture, genders or sexualities etc.  And present what purpose do such beliefs serve? 2. Then you will describe where these beliefs are coming from and list all possible Bio psychosocial cultural factors that gave rise to such beliefs “myths”. You will have to present the scientific research supporting your argument and use APA format when citing the source.  3.  Paper should be minimum 6 pages double spaced, Font 12, Times New Roman. You have to have minimum of 6 double spaced fully written pages  but not less than that, you can write maximum 20 pages. 4. In few words, usually 1 paragraph, tell me how your perception and understanding have changed about that particular “myth” and what did you learn from it? Did you hold the same prejudiced beliefs before taking the class/doing the assignment if yes, what did it change and if no what did this class and assignment add to your understanding of this particular “myth” (Your grade does not depend on how you answer this particular question, I am looking for your honest assessment of your understanding).  5. Paper must be typed in your own original writing. If you pass off others’ work as your own, it constitutes academic dishonesty and will result in disciplinary action. NO Abstract is necessary but you will have to have a Reference page (Reference page does not count as one of the required 6 pages).
