Please identify one problem in society that affects LGBTQ older adults and creatively respond to how you might “worldbuild” so that this problem could be eradicated in some way. (examples from films or readings or service learning), examine the institution this problem is part of, and the ways that trans/homophobia and agism intersect to perpetuate discrimination and oppression for LGBTQ+ older adults. THEN, worldbuild! What would a solution look like to work to eradicate this problem? It’s helpful to start thinking of some facet rather than an entire institution (ie, sexual health programs rather than examining all of healthcare, similar to the one Amber Hollibaugh Your intervention can be creatively communicated-maybe it’s a picture you draw & upload or a blueprint for a senior living program, a proposal for responding to our current pandemic and keeping LGBT+ elders safer, an outline of an idea for integrating LGBT older adults in society, or lesson plan for educating about agism and trans/homophobia. How can you best communicate this solution?
