Your second paper involves examining the facts in the case of Leonard Peltier, the American activist who is serving two consecutive terms of life imprisonment for the murder of two FBI agents on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 1975. Begin by presenting the most important facts of the case (you will need to use outside sources in order to do this well). What actually happened that resulted in the imprisonment of Leonard Peltier? Did the evidence justify the criminal sentence imposed on him? Explain your viewpoint. Next, correctly use at least four psychological vocabulary terms from your book (or Study Aids) to explain the behavior of the federal agents and/or the Native Americans who were involved in these events. You must underline the vocabulary words you use. Finally, write a persuasive argument reflecting your own personal viewpoint regarding Leonard Peltier’s imprisonment.
