Assignment-3 (News Package) Instructions   1) Write script of a TV news package.    2) You can choose any issues to write your script on. The issue/topic you choose needs to have a newsworthy angle.    3) Remember, a news PKG provides explanation of an issue from multiple angles and answers the questions that the viewers might have about that issue/problem.     4) The duration of your package will be 90 seconds (read it aloud with a stopwatch to time accordingly). Write total duration at the end of the script.    5) You will include sound-bytes of three different interviewees (providing different perspectives). You don’t need to interview them actually, but just replicate what you think will say related to that subject (with their names and titles).   6) You will not be shooting any video/b-roll for this package because this is just a writing class. However, you need to mention what kind of video/audio you will be using with that part of the package.   7) Use a two-column format.    8) These are the elements that you need to include in your script.     a) Anchor lead-in   b) Sound-bytes   c) B-roll   d) Voice-over   e) stand-up   9) Mark each element in your script as well for your instructor.    10) Then check grammar, spelling and facts.   11) DO NOT plagiarize.
