Assignment There is a current drive to reform the American Juvenile Justice system. In your course project, you will complete a five-page essay on the problems facing the system, the consequences of those problems, and possible solutions to be implemented.   Content A successful paper will include the following criteria as it relates to the topic: The structure of your paper should have a good introduction that presents the topic of the paper and a good thesis statement.   The body of the paper will identify the problems facing the system and the effect of those problems on the system and its participants.  The paper should discuss the current issues in the classification of juveniles in the criminal justice system. How are the current systems in place dealing with delinquency that has become more violent? The paper should discuss current philosophies on police interaction with juveniles and decision making by prosecutors on how the courts adjudicate juvenile offenders. The paper should also identify solutions to the problem in light of theories on juvenile delinquency and how said solutions can be implemented.  The conclusion should summarize the theme of the paper.  Students are allowed at the end of the paper to give an opinion as to whether or not the solutions will be effective.
