Description

You will be required to submit a paper, 4-5 pages in length (double-spaced), that can cover any topic in microeconomics that you choose. The premise is similar to the group homework assignment: Pick a real-world situation or pop culture reference and explain how some topic of microeconomics covered in class relates to that subject. It can be anything. You can take a real-world example from a chapter from one of the above optional reading books and write a more detailed summary with charts and graphs. You can explain how economic theories play a factor into the Orioles’ decision making in setting higher ticket prices for those tickets that are sold on the day of the game. It can be about your decision to eat sushi over ramen noodles for dinner. The topics are endless.  I just want to see that you understand an economic concept and how it applies, and understand it well enough to explain it back to me.
