PROJECT 2: PINK AND BLUE For the first 1/4 of this project, please reflect upon your own gender. Think about the following (in no particular order here): What does it mean to you to be a man Does your gender influence what you want to do in life? (life goals, career choice, circle of friends, your interests) Do you feel that being a man places certain responsibilities, expectations or obligations upon you? If so, what are they? Does your gender hinder achieving certain things in your life? Does it help achieving certain things? What do you think is the major challenge of being a man? For the second 3/4 of this assignment, visit http://www.genderads.com/ (Links to an external site.)  and after browsing this website, look at the advertisements in mainstream magazines.  Select 2 – 3 advertisements, copy them into your paper as appendices, and address the following questions:  How are men portrayed? What does this tell you about the society you live in?  What are the bigger consequences of the advertisements you analyze?  Important:  Use appropriate theories, concepts and vocabulary words to make your points.  As you use these course terms, be sure to bold them in the text.  Specifications: Your assignment should be no shorter than 3 and no longer than 6 pages of text, double spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, standard margins on all four sides. Additional bibliography and necessary appendices are allowed.
